Because I don't use preservatives in my cookies, they are best eaten within a few days of baking. Ask me about those that have a longer shelf life.

Taking it to the Extreme!

Everyone loves my Extreme Peanut Butter Brownie!  Layers of peanut buttery goodness; it's heavenly AND sinful!

You won't want to share.  So how do you spread the joy with your friends and family?  Order a PARTY-sized Extreme Brownie!
The box is 10"x10" for reference
For $40, that's $5 off the normal price of the equivalent of NINE brownies!  You can slice small wedges for your friends and keep the big chunk for you... no worries, I won't tell.  But be prepared for those that try to sneak an extra bite or two.

Chocolate Cognac Cookie Cups

Experimenting around the kitchen again, trying something new.  I have all these ideas and some take several iterations.  This time I made some cookie cups with a fudgy liqueur flavored filling.

I could have chosen any liqueur, but I happen to have a bottle of Navan on hand.  If you've never seen it, it's vanilla bean Cognac made by Grand Marnier.  It's potent stuff, and oh-so-good.  I can see these cups as being a lovely complement to the end of a romantic meal.

These cups look simple, so I may experiment with some decoration.  But they are certainly delicious as is.

I'll have to make some with Amaretto or Cherry Brandy next.

A Sticky Treat

I got this gorgeous plate from my hairdresser.  It was the perfect way to display my Sticky Toffee Pudding cookies.  Soft cake-like cookies made from Medjool dates and drizzled with caramel.  A delectable spin on a classic dessert.

Pies for Christmas

I'm doing pies again for Christmas!

Each pie is made from fresh ingredients, not canned or processed.  You'll be sure to impress with these.

Choose from the following list:

Dutch Apple Pie:  Made with 3 pounds of apples, this pie is loaded tight with apple chunks.  Topped with a crunchy streusel topping, it’s definitely an exquisite classic.

Pumpkin:  Pure pumpkin puree, brown sugar, heritage spice blend and real cream go into this seasonal classic.  No canned milk or corn syrup like the store-made pies.  This is sure to be your new holiday favorite!

Sweet Potato Pecan Pie:  The perfect blend of two classics!  A whole pile of pecans goes into this sweet concoction.  Made with fresh roasted sweet potatoes, fragrant cinnamon and vanilla, your taste buds will beg for more!

All pies are approximately 9” in diameter.

Apple of my eye

Last apples of the season.  I spent Saturday filling my bag with a variety from the trees at a nearby orchard.  I've got big plans for these.  I hope they make it to the holidays; I say that because it's hard to not just munch them out of hand.  I've been up to the orchard three times this season.  I tried to pick every type available:  honeycrisp, fuji, cameo, shizuka, mutsu crispin, jonagold, idared, braeburn, pink lady, gold rush, golden russet, reinette zabergau, fireside.  So many different flavors and textures!  I just couldn't pick a favorite.

My latest haul
Aside from just eating them, I've made some goodies.  Apple spice cake, sauteed apples, apple cobbler, fresh apple scones, apple pie... yum yum YUM!  The kitchen definitely has the lingering cinnamon spice smell that I've come to associate with the Autumn season.
